Julie Bégin's remarkable flair for makeup is no secret to the top names in the fashion and entertainment industries. Designers like John Galliano and Vera Wang call on her regularly. Her talent is highly sought after by such celebrities as Céline Dion, Alanis Morisette and Tori Amos. Photographers Ellen Von Unwerth, Elfie Semotan, Torkil Gudnason and Alban Christ request her collaboration on prestigious advertising campaigns and editorials. Her clients include L'Oreal, Chanel beauté, Armani Parfumes, Marie Claire, Vogue, ELLE, Dutch, Amica, Grazia, SPIN, Rolling Stone, Interview and Fashion of the Times. Julie has led her makeup team on runway shows for Badgley Mishka, Sara James, Anand Jon, Kathi Castro, Margie Tsai and Atil Kotuglu.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Julie Bégin's fascination with the transforming power of makeup began as a child in the theatre dressing rooms of relatives and friends. From an early age she experimented on everyone's face and by the time she was 18, she'd left her science studies behind and embarked on her nomadic makeup journey.

In 1998, after spending more then 8 years refining her trade in Europe and Asia, Julie moved to New York to further her career. Shortly after, celebrated makeup artist Dick Page noticed her exceptional skills and she rapidly became a top player of his fashion show team in New York, Milan and Paris.

In fall 2000 Julie Bégin was named creative consultant for Marcelle Cosmetics, creating several makeup collections for their line targeted at career women, sold exclusively in Canada. Julie has also led several training seminars for M.A.C

Bégin's methods are wide-ranging and imaginative. From effortless natural looks to dramatic styles, even when creativity's limits are pushed to the extreme, her main focus is always in making women more beautiful. She says "Every face is a new inspiration. Makeup is the instrument I use to reveal the many magical facets of each personality." She always brings imagination, enthusiasm, and positive energy to the set she is on. Her ongoing success mirrors her dedication.
